Marina Island’s 60-meter-long Lou Sang in Perak was also featured in Sin Chew Newspaper (Saturday, 28 January 2023)
Taking advantage of the 7th day of the Lunar New Year, Marina Island Pangkor held the longest Lou Sang in Perak, which gathered tourists from home and abroad and residents of all ethnic backgrounds to celebrate together. This is also the 3rd time that Marina Island has hosted the Lou Sang event.
According to the article, YB Loh Sze Yee was quoted as saying that the event has attracted residents of all walks of life and many foreign tourists to participate, which is a symbol of goodwill, harmony, and prosperity.
Students from SMJK Dindings presented a dragon dance performance & a 24-Festive Drums Performance, whilst the students from Nan Hwa High School presented an amazing Double Lion Dance peformances, adding the atmosphere of the Lunar New Year to the Lou Sang event.
