Established in 2026 to serves a global community of sailors and boat owners navigating the scenic Strait of Malacca.
Perfectly positioned between Pangkor Island and the Royal Malaysian Navy headquarters, our location offers unmatched natural shelter for both wet and dry berthing. Beyond the docks, the nearby towns provide guests with seamless access to essential supplies, administrative services, and a vibrant array of local culinary and recreational experiences.
The journey of our marina began with the pioneering spirit of our founder, Mr. Ding Ju Hang. A specialist in Waterfront Architecture, Mr. Ding envisioned a “Water Transit City” model that would bridge the gap between the cruising grounds of the Strait of Malacca and mainland urban centers.
Defying industry norms in 2005, Mr. Ding redesigned the original master plan to create a more efficient, high-performance marina. His technical brilliance was most evident in his engineering of the Marina Pontoon System; by designing and manufacturing the system locally, he delivered world-class infrastructure with unmatched sustainability. This foundation allowed the marina to become a vital hub for the international sailing community, supporting major rallies like Sail Malaysia and Sail Indonesia.
Today, that foundation of innovation has evolved. Now led by Ms. Ding Mei Looi, the establishment has transitioned into its next chapter: Marina Island Pangkor Yacht Club (MIPYC). Under Ms. Ding Mei Looi’s leadership, we have refined our identity to focus on a more integrated and premium maritime lifestyle. By rebranding as a Yacht Club, we are blending our founder’s technical precision with a new commitment to community, exclusive service, and elevated guest experiences.
While our name has evolved, our commitment to elite maritime standards remains. We continue to offer premier berthing and maintenance facilities:
Capacity: 82 wet slips (up to 72ft) and 110 dry slips (up to 65ft).
Innovation: Our signature KMI Sea-Lift provides rapid hauling for vessels up to 45 tons—including catamarans—without the need to dismantle masts.
Location: Situated on the exclusive, bridged private island of Marina Island Pangkor, offering a secure, sheltered sanctuary with immediate mainland convenience.
As a member or guest of Marina Island Pangkor Yacht Club, you are at the heart of a multi-activity community. Whether it is island hopping, snorkeling in our private lagoon, trekking through tropical rainforests, or enjoying a sunset dinner at the water’s edge, we provide the perfect balance of adventure and tranquility.
